Check www.yellowstone.net and especially the forums, there are www.yellowstone.net / forums

The people on the site are regular visitors to the park and help. End of April will remain relatively cold and snowy to Dunraven Pass is closed. This means that you should be the long road to accession to the Lamar Valley in the south. In April, the animals must at all times of the day active and made fresh from hibernation in search of food. It is probably too early for young animals, except bear. The general idea is to get up early for wildlife and then explore on foot or with the thermal zones in the best of the day.
